1996 Jim Aitchison 432Jim Aitchison, the Coquitlam Adanacs all-time scoring leader, enters the Hall of Fame from an unlikely approach.

This young man from New Westminster, British Columbia, was eighteen when he picked up his first lacrosse stick and decided to give lacrosse a fling with the Coquitlam Junior J-Hawksand what a fling it was. Aitchison, named the Western Lacrosse Association's Rookie-of-the-Year in 1971 went on to be selected to the WLA All-Star Team on four occasions during his twelve seasons with the league.

He picked up 91' points in his '46 game major league career. But Jim's love of lacrosse was not limited to the box variety, as in 1974 he was a member of the Canadian Select Team which took part in the World Field Lacrosse Championships in Australia.

After his retirement from the Adanacs box team, he continued playing the field game, and at age 46 years of age, "Aich" still dabbled in a few games a year.
