Boyd Barager formed the Mimico, Ontario, Mountaineer Club and Lakeshore Maple Leaf Junior Championship teams in the late 1960's.

He was executive director of the Ontario Lacrosse Association, and member of the board of governors of the Canadian Lacrosse Association.

Named a life member of the Canadian Lacrosse Association in 1986, he formed and managed the Canadian National field lacrosse team which won the World Championship in England 1978.
