Charlie Mackie became active as a participant and coach in New Westminster in 19'6.

He coached the Mainland Junior Club from 19'8 to 19'4 and moved up to the Intermediate team for a couple of years. He also coached girl's lacrosse teams in New Westminster and Burnaby, British Columbia. He served as an executive with the New Westminster Adanacs from 194' to 1949.

Charlie was also active as a governor on the board of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
