Bob Reid started working with Doug Fletcher of Victoria, British Columbia, helping young people in both hockey and lacrosse.

He gradually found himself becoming totally involved with lacrosse. He has been honoured by the City of Victoria, the Sports Council of Victoria, the B.C. Junior "A" League, and the British Columbia Lacrosse Association, for his volunteer activities over a period of forty-one years.
