Cy Lemon's career started in 1946 as a player.

He later became involved in the coaching ranks with the Owen Sound Collegiate High School in both box and field. He coached Senior and Junior teams in the Owen Sound, Ontario area and was also a Clinical Instructor for the Ontario Lacrosse Association Referees Association.
