Mike Gates started his senior career with the New Westminster, British Columbia, Salmonbellies in 1961 and won the Ed Bayley Trophy as the league's leading rookie.
He transferred to the Coquitlam Adanacs in 1965 where he blossomed as a star. He won the scoring title three times, was a First All-Star six times, and amassed a total of 1,11' points in 4'7 games over eleven years. |
