Alex Carey of Vernon, BC played in 17 seasons in the ICLL and the WLA from 1955-75.
In junior, Alex was placed on a line with Gord Gimple and Fred Usselman forming one of the most powerful lines (amassing 2,297 points) in senior lacrosse. Carey split his career with the Burrards and Adanacs scoring 564 points. Alex was deceptive with his fakes and excelled in gathering loose balls. He was on a Minto Cup team in '56 and two Mann Cup championship teams in '61 and '64 with the mighty Vancouver Burrards. |
