Herb Armstrong worked all his life for lacrosse in Brampton.

He served as president, secretary-treasurer, and executive member of the board for over '5 years. He managed teams to the Minto Cup in 195', `57, `58, and `59. He also guided the Excelsior Club to the Presidents Cup in 197'. Despite all that, he still found time to help organize minor lacrosse and act as a timekeeper or scorekeeper when the need arose.

He was also active in local softball and hockey organizations.
