Mr. Lacrosse in Victoria, Doug Fletcher was one of the driving forces for the game.

He was an active executive member of the British Columbia Lacrosse Association for many years and kept lacrosse going at all levels in Victoria. As a builder, he was one of the prime movers in getting Senior Lacrosse on Vancouver Island.
