Lionel Conacher was known as "The Big Train" and excelled in many sports.

In lacrosse he played inside home for the Toronto Maitlands Club and later with the Montreal Maroons.

He was voted Canada's best athlete of the first half centrury - a tribute to his great skills.

Although he loved all sports, lacrosse was his first choice.
