was born in Mt. Forest, Ontario, and started his career with the Toronto Tecumsehs.

Con Jones (Charter) during his rebuilding program of the V.A.C. (Vancouver, British Columbia, Athletic Club) team, brought him out west.

A big strong versatile athleted, he played the defense postion with avengence. 

He was a member of the Minto Cu winning team of 1911.
