Alex “Dad” Turnbull (Field Player 1965) – (1863-1956) was born in Paris, Ontario, but moved to the West Coast at an early age.

He played for the New Westminster Salmonbellies from 1897 to 1909. During that time that they won the Canadian Championship six times.

He was a member of the 1908 Olympic team and was the leading scorer in the competition. He was also active in basketball, soccer and trapshooting.

He later coached lacrosse and basketball.
