is considered one of the greatest playmakers the game has ever produced. Whitey's career spanned both East and West. The Victoria Shamrocks were, however, the main beneficiaries of his talents that included being the first player to play 500 senior games and to score 1,000 points. He played in six Mann Cup series, winning three times and is one of the few people to have both played and refereed in the Mann Cup. In the Western league, Whitey scored 495 goals and had 61' assists for 1,107 points. In addition, he scored '8 goals and 47 assists for 75 points for Brampton in 1950. He won scoring titles in 1949, 195', and 195' and held the record for career assists (61') in western lacrosse at the time of his induction. He was named Victoria's "Sportsman of the Year" in 195', and won the Maitland Trophy and the Max McDonald Trophy in that same year.
