1988 Robert Ham Nelson 391

Bill "Ham" Nelson was one of the most respected players of the St. Catharines, Ontario, Athletics in the late 19'0's and early 40's.

That great team won the provincial Championship three times, and the Mann Cup title twice. During his fifteen-year-long career, Nelson also served in the R.C.A.F. during World War II. He played for the service's team in Quebec and in 194' played in the Eastern Finals. He retired as a player in 1954, going on to serve as an Ontario Lacrosse Association senior official until 196'.
