1996 Harry McKnight 431Harry McKnight, a New Westminster, British Columbia, firefighter who rose to the top of his field as Fire Chief.

McKnight has also earned his recognition at the top of the lacrosse ladder with his induction into the Hall of Fame.

In 1957, the 'Bellies were in trouble both on the floor and in the near empty stands when Harry agreed to get involved. His efforts were quickly rewarded with Mann Cups in 1958, 1959, and 196', with many crowds exceeding 4,000.

In 196', he succeeded on convincing the Canadian Lacrosse Association to sanction a Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in New Westminster, and became a founding Governor of the Hall that now honours him.
