Joe Comeau began his senior career with the New Westminster, British Columbia, Salmonbellies in 1964.

He transferred to the Coquitlam Adanacs in 1965 where he enjoyed four successful seasons before returning to the `Bellies in 1969. He led them to four Mann Cup Championships and was a first all-star on six different occasions.

Joe was a coach's dream, he stayed in his crease, stopped the ball, and his quiet way made his teammates aware of their defensive responsibilities.
