Douglas Miller was born in Peterborough, Ontario on May 2, 1904. He played lacrosse in the Peterborough area for over 30 years, but his major contribution to the game was his work as a builder. He has coached and held various executive positions with the Peterborough organizations over the years. He purchased land and single-handedly secured lumber and materials at a time when they were in short supply, to build "Miller Bowl", named in his honour. Doug is known as "Mr. Lacrosse" in Peterborough and his dedication has been responsible for many national championships for that city. |
