Jake MacGregor founded the revival of lacrosse in the Point Grey district of Vancouver in the late 1940's, building a team in every division up to Junior.

His Junior teams reached the Minto Cup championships five times, winning four of them. Simultaneously, he was secretary treasurer of the Senior Vancouver Burrard Club, helped form the Lower Mainland field lacrosse league, coached a team in that league, and coached a Senior "B" box lacrosse team.
