played with the Riversides in the early 1920's before helping Oshawa, Ontario, win the Mann Cup in 1929.

He then trnsferred to Brampton in 1930 leading them to the Mann Cup before turning professional with Montreal in 1931.

A great football player, he turned to sports writing when his career was over.  He was better known as "the Moaner" in later years.
